We developed iTrace over 5 years ago with the goal of teaching children how to write block and cursive letters and numbers. Our mission, both then and now, is to provide a productive and relaxed early childhood education experience.

During the development of the app, we discovered that children learn best through repetition. In iTrace, each letter is traced 3 times on every level, with a total of 30 levels for each letter. As every child learns at their own pace, the app adjusts the number of levels to cater to each individual student's needs.

iTrace is well-suited for both homeschooling and classroom settings at various levels including Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and K1-K2.

iTrace Key Features:

 <li>Numbers 0 through 9</li>
 <li>Words: child's name, 350 preloaded words from the iTrace library, and unlimited words that can be added by the user</li>

 <li>Full support for both left and right handwriting orientation</li>
 <li>5 animated scenes with 50 animated objects to make learning fun (iPad only)</li>

 <li>Unlimited children accounts</li>

We designed iTrace with children in mind:
<ul>
 <li>The app tracks and adjusts to the individual progress of each child to maintain their interest and encourage improvement</li>
 <li>Exercises are replayed multiple times, gradually increasing complexity and difficulty level, creating an engaging learning experience</li>
 <li>Over 600 rewards are given for completed exercises, providing positive reinforcement</li>
 <li>iTrace utilizes context and animation to teach writing by encouraging children to select animated scenes composed of meaningful objects</li>
</ul>

We created iTrace to support parents and teachers:
<ul>
 <li>The app tracks a child's progress on each individual letter and number, aiding in handwriting mastery and allowing adults to measure improvement</li>
 <li>iTrace supports easy switching to left-handed mode and cursive letters</li>
 <li>For offline practice, iTrace supports customization and printing of PDF worksheets</li>
</ul>

We prioritized children's privacy while building iTrace:

 <li>No ads are displayed within the app, ensuring an uninterrupted learning experience</li>
 <li>We do not collect personal data, only requiring the student's first name for personalization purposes</li>
 <li>Purchases can only be made by adults from a secure section of the app inaccessible to children</li>
